Makes great miter joints. I did not have to make any adjustments. Packing from vendor was not real good but saw came fully operational. Saw is light, so is very easy to move room to room for remodeling projects. DeWalt makes nice miter saws. The 704R Cuts 2x4's like butter. Accuracy is good enough that after framing out a window I am considering making some picture frames with MDF.Whomever DeWalt has reconditioning these saws does good work. Given the price and quality of this saw I am very pleased
This is a great saw for the price. Its pretty basic and has a few limitations. The bevel only works one side and it is limited to cutting material 5 1/2" wide. But for general trim cutting it works great.

We are already using the exact same saw for wooden picture frames. I bought this one for cutting metal framing material. It works just great. We're very pleased with the condition of the saw as a refurb, and it is doing the job I needed.
In the G.P. category, this model is one of the best. Safety shield works flawlessly, locking pawls have a solid, positive click as they latch. One drawback is the lack of a cutting line indicator, however, for generalpurpose construction this tool is a great value for the buck.
